Rockstar Games may be gearing up to release the next major look at Grand Theft Auto VI, commonly referred to by fans as GTA 6 Trailer #3. While rumors continue to swirl about a potential delay, the game is currently still scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, exclusively for PS5 and Xbox Series X. If that date holds, Rockstar’s full marketing push for GTA 6 should be kicking off very soon.
One date that fans should keep a close eye on is February 3, 2026.
Why February 3 Matters
Rockstar Games is owned by Take-Two Interactive, the parent company behind major publishers like 2K. On February 3, Take-Two will hold its next earnings call, an event that almost always includes some form of update on GTA 6—if only because it’s the title investors care about most right now.
While updates during earnings calls are often vague, it’s not uncommon for publishers to release trailers or major announcements shortly before these calls. The logic is simple: a new trailer generates massive buzz, reignites public interest, and can positively impact investor confidence and stock prices. A new GTA 6 trailer would do exactly that.
What We’re Most Likely to See
The safest bet is that Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick will reassure investors that development is progressing smoothly and that Rockstar remains confident in the current release window. If we get anything beyond that, it’s more likely to come in the form of new screenshots or fresh details about the game rather than a full-blown trailer.
Any screenshots or information would almost certainly be released ahead of the earnings call, not during it. While a trailer is less likely than these scenarios, it’s far from impossible—especially given that GTA 6 is expected to have a long, expensive marketing campaign that hasn’t truly begun yet.
Don’t Expect Gameplay Just Yet
One thing fans should temper expectations on is gameplay footage. So far, Rockstar has yet to show raw GTA 6 gameplay. Historically, this isn’t unusual. For example, Rockstar didn’t reveal gameplay for Red Dead Redemption 2 until Trailer #4, which arrived only a couple of months before that game’s release.
Based on that precedent, it’s unlikely that the next GTA 6 trailer—if it happens—will include gameplay. Instead, fans should expect another cinematic-style trailer focused on tone, story, and atmosphere.
For now, all eyes are on February 3. Whether it brings a trailer, screenshots, or just reassuring words, it could mark the beginning of GTA 6’s long-awaited marketing rollout.
