GTA 6 online mode rumors

Anticipation for Grand Theft Auto 6 continues to build, and now, new alleged details about its online mode—dubbed GTA6MP—have surfaced online. These claims were first noticed by X (formerly Twitter) user @GTAVI_Countdown, who spotted a new report by Fravillys, a former editor-in-chief of Rockstar Mag.

Fravillys, known for previously revealing insider information about Rockstar’s RAGE engine and reporting on scrapped storylines, has now shared what could be the most in-depth leak yet concerning GTA 6’s multiplayer experience.

In a translated article, Fravillys claims:

“According to an inside source, the upcoming multiplayer game, codenamed ‘GTA6MP’, is currently at an advanced stage, much more so than it was during the original GTA Online, which was developed between 2008 and 2013.”

One of the most exciting potential features? Seamless, session-free multiplayer.

“One of the most significant advances would be the ability to perform free-roam multiplayer activities with players from different sessions, without ever having to leave your own environment or experience loading times.”

According to the report, Rockstar is aiming high with the next iteration of GTA Online.

“The next version of GTA Online is said to be aiming for a seamless and immersive gaming experience, with the ambition of reaching up to 96 simultaneous players per session. However, according to my latest information, this figure is currently limited to 64 players.”

As always with leaks, it’s important to take this information with a grain of salt—none of it has been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games. Still, if these details prove true, GTA6MP could mark a massive leap forward in the franchise’s online ambitions.

Stay tuned for more updates as we learn more about the future of Grand Theft Auto 6.
