GTA 6 got a new big leak of gameplay

This week, a person claiming to be a former Rockstar employee took to Reddit, dropping some intriguing details about Grand Theft Auto VI.

While calling them “tidbits” might be an understatement, the leak was fairly extensive. The ex-QA tester claimed to have had hands-on time with early test builds of GTA VI, allowing them to reveal information about various in-game features—ranging from vehicles and map scale to NPC behavior and beyond.

Although the original posts have since been deleted, they were quickly reposted on r/GTA6. Fans are now split between skepticism and excitement over the details shared.

According to the former QA, the map is even larger than fans expect, with far more countryside than anticipated. The world will reportedly include a “meth county,” underwater zones, restricted areas, and numerous shops—all crafted to feel dynamic and “lived-in.”

Driving mechanics are said to be much more realistic this time around. Players can expect traffic stops, but unlike in previous games, it will be possible to trick the police by hiding illegal items—like stashing contraband in your glove box.

NPCs will also feature highly advanced AI, with characters remembering your past actions. For instance, if you rob someone, they’ll recognize you in future encounters and respond accordingly. Shopkeepers will remember troublemakers, and police will keep records of your behavior.

With so many claims packed into the former QA’s posts, it’s no surprise the community is feeling conflicted—torn between cautious doubt and growing excitement over what GTA VI might have in store.

“It’s like the world doesn’t forget”, the QA explained.

They also mentioned new interactions with the police. Players will be able to hide items just before their cars are searched by them, even if that means making use of glove boxes or space under the seats.

“AI seemed to respond to where you were looking or how fast you moved too”.

Driving feels a lot more dynamic and shooting random NPCs in the street will have a lot more impact, both on society and to the player as deaths are a lot more gruesome.

The QA also claims that GTA VI’s story is a bit slow to begin with but stuff soon starts “falling apart” around us, making the narrative a lot more personal.
