Trailer 1 introduced Lucia, the game’s female lead, and revealed the setting of Leonida—an updated version of the iconic Vice City. Since then, fans have dissected every frame, hungry for more. Now, with the release of Trailer 2, the speculation can finally give way to fresh details.

The second trailer confirms long-standing rumors: the male playable protagonist is named Jason. It opens with scenes of his daily life while Lucia remains behind bars. We see Jason fixing his roof, interacting with a character named Brian, robbing a store, working out on the beach, and buying beer—before finally picking Lucia up from prison. From there, it’s clear that the duo wastes no time diving back into a life of crime. Their entanglement with federal authorities hints at deeper narrative twists to come. The trailer also puts a strong spotlight on the romantic connection between Jason and Lucia, setting the stage for what could be a compelling character-driven storyline.

Packed with explosions, shootouts, and chaotic car chases, Trailer 2 delivers the high-octane action fans expect. It also confirms the return of Ammu-Nation, reassuring players that GTA 6 won’t be lacking in firepower. As with any Rockstar release, there’s bound to be even more hidden in the trailer for fans to analyze while they wait.

That wait just got a little longer, though. Rockstar recently announced a delay, pushing the GTA 6 release from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026. While disappointing, the delay might result in a more polished final product. On the bright side, this marks the first official release date for the game—giving fans and the industry something concrete to look forward to.
