Just when you think fans have examined every visual detail in the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, a group of fans have spotted what they claim to be an alien. While this is one of the more ridiculous theories the GTA community has found in recent weeks, this claim doesn’t feel out of place for GTA 6, given the fact that UFOs appeared in previous titles. The part of the GTA 6 trailer in question is the shot of the Vice City Beach populated with NPCs. It’s a stunning look at the highly-anticipated amazing environments, but that shouldn’t distract you from a tiny detail that most of us have missed.
When you look harder at the screenshots shared by the GTAVI_Countdown X account, you can find the so-called alien playing in the water with other NPCs. The figure can be found if you look past the bikini-clad women to the water. The figure is all in black but because it looks blurred, there’s no way to know for sure if this was intended to actually be an alien.
A fan joked that it’s just an NPC wearing a “gimp suit”, but given the nature of the franchise, the possibility of extraterrestrial life existing in the world of GTA 6 isn’t too out there.
UFOs in GTA V
So far, there are four types of UFOs discovered in Grand Theft Auto V. They can’t be acquired or piloted by players, as they are all props. The UFO above Sandy Shores will push whoever approaches it too closely. The one located above Fort Zancudo has a locked-vehicle script and it seems to be protected by force-fields, while the UFO on top of Mount Chiliad will just vanish (it’s not solid). All the UFOs in GTAV are immune to weapons and players can’t lock on to it with the Buzzard or the P-996 Lazer targeting.
Fans will have to wait at least until next year, when GTA 6 releases, to find out if there are actually UFOs in the game. Grand Theft Auto VI is currently in development for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
