Grand Theft Auto 6 is officially slated for release later this year in the fall. However, fans around the globe remain skeptical, bracing for a possible delay. Whether due to final refinements or further development tweaks, some expect Take-Two or Rockstar Games to push the release date back.

Recently, LinkedIn saw a wave of recruitment posts from Rockstar representatives, openly reinforcing the anticipated 2025 release window. For now, it seems the game is still on track.

Counting Down the Months

It feels surreal to say that Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch this year. After all, the last mainline installment, GTA V, came out in 2013, and fans have been relying on its longevity ever since. In 2023, Rockstar Games unveiled the first GTA 6 trailer, shattering YouTube viewership records.

Rockstar’s talent acquisition team has recently advertised several job openings in locations like London, Leeds, Edinburgh, and Dundee. These listings referenced 2025 as a milestone year for the company, complete with banners stating “Coming 2025.”

History Repeats Itself

While GTA V experienced delays before its release, current signs indicate that GTA 6 remains on schedule for 2025. Based on past release patterns, it’s reasonable to predict an October 2025 launch, following the tradition set by earlier GTA titles, including GTA IV and GTA V.
